Chapter 11 of the Bedford Book of Genres is about assembling mulitple genre essays. There are five steps to assembling an essay with multiple genres. First you must tell your audience what what you are writing about. Summarize what you will be writing and what your topic is. It is good to explain what got you interested into the subject and why you are writing about it. The next step is to sequence the pieces in your genre. Sequencing the pieces in your genre is important because in needs to be presented in a way it will make sense. The next step is picking a title and an authors statement. However, I believe that making your essay creative is the most important.
