Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as your own. Seminole creed values and morals at Florida State University is Truthfulness, Respect, Excellence, Freedom of Speech and Inquiry, Diversity, and Justice. Plagiarism violates these morals which will result in disciplinary action such as being expelled or failed. This is completely understandable since it is clearly wrong to steal another's hard work and pass it as your own. Having your sources cited and giving credit to the people who deserve it is extremely important. I don't understand why students attempt to plagiarize their work since teachers and schools have come up with systems to catch cheaters.
